Legacy Planning – The Ultimate Gift

"It was a time when I felt the most frustrated, exhausted and isolated than I've ever felt in my life. I've made it my mission in life to help other people NOT feel that way."

The Mavericks sit down with Attorney Michelle Adams to talk Legacy Planning. It is such an important tool and process. Join us as Attorney Adams navigates us on the reasons why we must plan!

Michelle Adam started this firm because she had personally experienced what happens when a loved one fails to plan for their death or disability. Attorney Adams knows that this is not necessarily a “dinner time” topic but we must take the steps to have these conversations so that family stress and drama are minimized in the long run. She enjoys working with people to help them come up with the best solutions for their situation and giving them a measure of comfort that they are prepared and have provided for their loved ones if something should happen to them.

A significant portion of her practice focuses on the needs of parents of minor children who want to ensure that they have put solid plans in place for the protection of their children. As a mom, she is acutely aware that if something were to happen to her, her family would be tremendously impacted. However, she knows that one of the best gifts she can give them would be to take the simple steps of getting my plans in order. In addition to my legal practice, she strongly believes in giving back to the community.

Michelle volunteers time to several organizations including Denver CASA, Denver Great Kids Head Start, Denver Center for Crime Victims, Volunteers of America and the Denver Bar Association’s School and Lawyers Committee. Originally from New York City, she earned her B.A. in Administration of Justice from the Pennsylvania State University and my J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. For the past 17 years, she and her family have called Colorado home and we take advantage of all this great state has to offer!
