Francis & Katherine review top news in senior care each month of 2022. And we make some predications about the coming year.

  • Long-term care is a half-trillion-dollar industry.
  • There are about 65,000 regulated long-term care facilities in the United States.
  • 8.3 million people get support from five primary nursing care providers every year.
  • 60% of people and families can’t pay for the expenses that nursing services require for them to house the elderly.
  • 70% over 65 will need long-term medical care at some point in their life.

Such care is usually given for three years on average. This is our aging services industry.

Though we are undergoing a massive generational and digital transformation, now is the time for a change. We must challenge and create opportunities for those who are currently aging and for the future of aging.
