“When I was starting out, I would hide the fact that I lived in an Assisted Living community. I was only 23 and I was trying to be a professional in a town that was kind of a good old boys network.“Kris Chana, Founder and CEO, Chelsea Place
In eight years, he has grown his community to include a vibrant Day Care program and purpose-driven Home Care.
We spoke with Kris about what it was like to start an Assisted Living home, a marriage, and a business at a young age. And how he’s grown personally and professionally while providing some very forward-thinking programs and care.
“I’d start my day getting dressed in a suit and tie because I thought I had to prove something. Then I’d go down the hall and help our resident, Miss Sara, get up and ready for the day before I dashed out the door to start meetings and marketing the business.”
