“The real mission is to give people peace of mind and confidence that someone knows what’s wrong with their brain disorders.”John Kelley, CEO, CereScan
Welcome to Mavericks for Senior Living: Challenging The Way We Age. We are two innovators and entrepreneurs who have huge hearts and passion for our older adults. And we see all kinds of opportunities to improve today’s system for how we age.
In this episode we talk about challenging the way brain disorders are diagnosed.
Your brain is your body’s control center. It’s part of the nervous system, which also includes the spinal cord and a large network of nerves and neurons. Together, the nervous system controls everything from your senses to the muscles throughout your body.
When your brain is damaged, it can affect many different things, including your memory, your sensation, and even your personality. Brain disorders include any conditions or disabilities that affect your brain. This includes conditions that are caused by illness, genetics, and traumatic injuries.
Listen as we learn about the 400 miles of capillaries in our brains, how medicines do or do not reach the right area of the brain to do what they need to do, and why there is hope!
